Artists collect. And it’s not random.

It’s not because we’re messy.
It’s not because we’re “too much.”

Because something is pulling us.

A color. A texture. A shape. A feeling.

A scrap of paper you can’t throw away.
A small object you keep touching because it reminds you of something you can’t name yet.

It’s all part of the creative process.

And I’ve learned to take those collections seriously.

Because they’re often pointing directly to what wants to enter the work next.
