Every time I talk to another artist, I’m reminded of something that should be obvious—and somehow isn’t.

We all work differently.

One artist needs a big brush and a fast start. Another needs a small brush and time. Some people build a painting like a conversation. Others build it like a storm. And all of those ways can be true.
